this is the crappiest holiday i ever had.
seems like holiday is a facade for study leave. i've so many things that i want to buy and so many places that i'm longing to go to. but holiday schedule isn't giving me much room for frivolous stuff. no more luxury of wandering down orchard road aimlessly every week like during the secondary school holidays, not when revision's constantly on your mind. not like i'm doing frightfully well in that anyway. revision is only going ok for me. and in the last week of the holiday, i can safely vouch for my doom in the biology midyears. seriously. oh well.
promos will be better. (: i promised myself.
chemistry tuition tomorrow with yuewoon. (: heh and maybe more matching earrings? ...
went out with yanqi, ruowei and momo last wednesday. my only visit to my old school territory this holidays. heh still remember those days when rgs owned orchard road! and that feeling that we have the whole far east plaza to ourselves during half-day at like 10, when nobody but us is able to go shopping. eer nobody employed/studying, anyway. we went back to get our certs, and man that bittersweet feeling of nostalgia hit me right in my face. hard. it's not like i'm dying to turn back time and relive my secondary school days again, with no freedom + strict booking/detention rules, but it's just those memories of pinafores and recesses and pe and running down the corridors if you're late for class. ha the school clerk still remembers me! yay. (: she always had a good memory.
going out with yanqi + ruowei + momo makes me miss them more.. so many promises of meeting up again during dec hols. but we always manage to find time to fulfill those promises. oh man can't wait. (:
yeah and yuewoon + sherli + junkiat + mathew + i did a street survey for our project work too. some people thought we were trying to sell stuff/conduct commercial surveys. like sheesh hello we're in our school uniforms?! heh like this one time, yuewoon + i tried to approach two ladies, who visibly tried to avoid us. then we asked them if they could please help us in our project, and they were like, "project? yeah sure of course." heh. and i saw samantha zhuang too! looking super pretty as usual. (: rgs 410/'04 rocks!
and we encountered this extremely unpleasant cjc girl, who kept telling us that our project idea is crap and it should hit the garbage dumps right away. and of course she didn't even substantiate her point. -.-" her boyfriend was really helpful and patient though. he looked kinda embarrassed at his girlfriend's behaviour. i mean who wouldn't be. hm she spoiled my mood for a while. but of course i have confidence in this project! heh.
went to my ah ma's house today. yay missed her! my mum + my ah ma + i went for lunch + a bit of shopping (in the dumbest place ever. well apparently clementi doesn't leave you spoiled for choice). then we went back to the house and i played my violin for her. i had it with me because i went to her house straight after violin lesson. heh played songs at her request so she was kinda happy. (: yep anything for my ah ma man. (:

sheesh blogspot erased half of my previous entry!! sigh but i fixed it. (:
the baby birds in my garden are getting bigger!! too big for the nest, almost. they're growing a little bit of feathers. aaw so cuute.
woonie came to my chem tuition yesterday! kenneth and cindy didn't go so it was just pamela and us. lesson started 15 min late so woonie and i went to parkway first.. we bought matching earrings from 1975. that's the pushcart outside g2000 with rather interesting stuff. so yep anyway we had a great time bargaining with the lady and got a pretty good deal. nothing's more satisfying than that huh. we're targeting the funnily-shaped silver diamond earrings next. haha bet the lady will squeak in horror to see us again.
went to collect my stuff from jasper today. haha it was so nice to see him. thanks so so much. you're the best. (:

today. sammy's birthday. (:
went to school to meet yuewoon and mr beetsma first about project work. we had to get the permission form signed first before we can go do that street survey on tuesday. haha mr beetsma was so awfully nice! he taught us a math problem that i was having trouble with, even though he's our physics tutor. but he couldn't answer woonie's chemistry question though. aaw. >.<
met sammy and yvonne after that! went to east coast park to blade/bike. haha still remember that time during orientation when the ogls tried to trick us into joining the bikers/bladers society.. which didn't exist. hrmphx. so anyway i had to rent guards cuz i'm still super unstable on my blades. actually sammy had to persuad the lady into renting them out to me because she was worried that she wouldn't have enough guards to rent out to people who rented blades as well.
after blading we sat on the breakwaters for a while.. it was so peaceful watching the water wash over the rocks.. and it was high tide too. and there was this gorgeous rainbow in the sky! haha.
then we went to sit in the sea. what's a trip to east coast park without getting wet right? heh. it was so so fun to get all wet and feel the waves tossing you around. sammy and yvonne swam a little out to sea but my ankle kind of ached a little so i passed. wouldn't want vonnie and sammy to be fishing for my dead body on his birthday haha.
after we were done fooling around, we went back to vjc where i saw lyndsey.. i saw her in the morning too! haha she must have spent loads of time on nicolas' scrapbook.. lucky guy. >.< then i went home after changing..
haha had loads of fun with both of them today! (: i really missed yvonne and sammy. sigh now we're all in different colleges. i really miss the first three months when we were all together in vjc.. yep hope to see them soon..

we discovered a nest in our garden about a week ago.. there're two baby birds in it and they're growing up nicely! so cuuute. haha they don't have feathers yet so they look kinda strange. and they can't open their eyes yet. but still adorable. (: and their mother is gorgeous.. so yep guess they'll be too. (:

ok back from operation: backwoodsman.
think the stuff that i learnt is very theoretical. it's all fine in theory, but when its time to act fast, i don't really think anyone is going to think about that thick stack of notes.
haha didn't really do THAT much networking.. i was with yuewoon most of the time. i think the camp was more of bonding with your own friends + cca mates. but i got to know a few more people. (: so i guess that's good.
overall it was ok though. but incredibly slack!! guess the sc + ct councillors would feel weird attending something so slack. i know i did! haha. after a while i kinda wished we were all back at ct camp getting screamed at by ashish and jung seong.. eer ok well maybe not. >.<
the food at camp was kinda yucky sucky too. but the nasi lemak on the last day was niiice. yummy. think everyone piled on weight during the camp cuz we didn't do any physical stuff! it was just eat, sit, sleep. and they feed you like five times a day. aaww man! haha.
think the highlight of the camp was our midnight ct meeting on the second night. from like 11pm to 1am. we sat down together in the ct room and actually applied what we learnt during the workshops.. think quite a few problems that we faced are on the way to getting solved for good. and we bonded lots more too. haha woonie crashed our entire meeting and gave us some unbiased advice.. think she's waiting for her ct council nametag now. :P
maybe when she gets her house comm nametag we can swop! haha.
gonna have the speak with panache workshop on monday and then pw group meeting on tuesday.. hrmphx. busy busy. hope my group can get plenty accomplished by this holiday, so we don't have to worry so much later on.
but the great singapore sale rocks. (: wanna buy loads of stuff! especially pretty slippers. that are comfortable. (:
